What a great season it was for the SRC Go-Ride group, with lots of exciting racing and some really challenging courses, which all of our riders did really well at. Below are PDF’s for the final standings, where for SRC managed to get 4th in the overall team event, which is a great achievement, as some of the teams below us had more riders in attendance. Well done all.

2019 – Midlands MTB XC Final Series Standings PDF

2019

The Midlands Mtb Series comprises 5 rounds in 2019, spanning the East and West Midlands from Lincolnshire to Shropshire.

The series opener takes place at Parkwood Springs in Sheffield on the 27th April, supporting the work of Ride Sheffield.

Royal Leamington Spa CC host round 2 at Cannock Chase in Staffordshire on the 19th May.

KORC Sport bring the series to Lincolnshire for the first time on the 2nd June.

Bolsover & District CC host round 4 at High Bramley Wood in Derbyshire on the 6th July.

The series finale is hosted by Bridgnorth CC / Clee Cycles RT on the 4th August at Dudmaston Wood.

Cross-Country ‘XCO’ races are held over multiple laps of an undulating circuit and have evolved massively in recent years: Races are shorter and more intense, with power and technical skill now as important as fitness to be successful. Over the course of the series you should expect everything from blazing fast descents and elevated boardwalk, to technical singletrack and lung searing climbs, giving everyone the chance to shine. While XCO races are ‘mass start’, each category has it’s own start, with gridding based on series standings. More info can be found HERE
