Club Rides – Summer

The club organises summer rides on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with well-led routes designed for riders of all abilities. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy, you have the clothing appropriate for the expected weather conditions, a tool bag including a spare inner tube and wearing a helmet is mandatory.

Non-members are welcome to come along on three “taster” club rides before joining the club. Just complete the guest rider form.

Please arrive at the meeting point 5-10 minutes before the departure time.

Saturday: 9:30am

We start at Stafford Rugby Club, Kingsway, at 9.30am for a route of between 30-35 miles at an average speed of 14mph and with a mid-point stop for a drink and snack. This is suitable for riders new to road/group cycling or who want a more social ride. We don’t climb any major hills to avoid people being dropped.

Sunday: 9am

We start at Stafford Rugby Club, Kingsway, at 9am for a route of between 60-70 miles at an average speed of 16mph and with a mid-point stop for a drink and snack. This is suitable for intermediates or riders progressing from the Saturday ride.

Monday: 6.45pm

We start at Stafford Rugby Club, Kingsway, at 6.45pm for a regular route of 20 miles. Ideal for recovery after the weekend.
