Stafford Road Club Records Fall

Susan Semple’s 2020 race season climaxed with a fabulous performance in this year’s national 15 mile Veteran Time Trial Association (VTTA) Championships where she took the bronze medal in the women’s event LINK .  In the process setting a new Stafford Road Club Women’s Senior and Vets record time of 37:30.  So a great end to the 2020 season that lasted just 8 days for Susan.  But after 50 weeks training and 6000+ miles, mainly indoors, Susan was pleased to be back racing for Stafford Road Club this year and reaching the podium in a national event.  It was great to have Mark Richards out on the course in his Stafford Road Club kit supporting Susan and giving some much need encouragement on the tough single carriageway course in Shropshire.

Entries open for Stafford RC 9.5mile VR Time Trial on Saturday 18th April 11am

Following on from the success of last weeks event where we had over 25 riders compete from 13 different counties tomorrow at 11am I have scheduled another 9.5mile TT this time in Germany, flat route for those on Smart trainers 😊

Enter via this link https://my.rouvy.com/onlinerace/live/17377

Dominic Noone (Stafford RC) made the top 3 last week and let’s see if we can get another SRC rider on the podium this week.

I have set this TT event up so you can ride on any type of turbo and no need for a power meter or smart trainer, simply get Rouvy to detect your speed sensor and you in.

So hopefully see a few more of you tomorrow – Staying Safe at Home

Rear Lights on all Time Trials

Please see this link to show that as of 2nd January 2020 all riders must have a working rear light on their bikes when they begin a club or open Time Trial for CTT run events https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/articles/view/518

All Stafford RC TT events are run under CTT regulations so this rule applies to all our events
