What: Go-Ride coaching sessions

Stafford Road Club (SRC) Go-Ride coaching sessions for youngsters aged 7-15 started on Saturday morning, 28th February, in Rowley Park. The sessions are run under the British Cycling ‘Go-Ride’ banner and aim to give young riders general bike skills as well as the opportunity for competitive racing. All coaches are qualified to Level 2 in Cycle Coaching and fully covered by British Cycling for insurance and child protection. Sessions for 2015 will run weekly every Saturday through to October at Rowley Park and riders and parents should turn up at 10.15am to sign on.

Go-Ride provides the first step onto the Performance Pathway – over 60% of riders on the Great Britain Cycling Team started out at Go-Ride Clubs. Stafford Road Club also have a dedicated youth section called JETS (Junior Expert Talent Squad), which gives access to additional events and coaching opportunities, for example British Cycling organised coaching at the new Derby Velodrome from March this year.
