Stafford RC Reliability Ride – Sun 6th March

On Sunday 6th March 2016 Stafford Road Club is hosting its annual Reliability Ride – which is ‘open to all’ and starts as usual from Stafford Rugby Club ST16 1GB.

This year we have 4 route options, 3 on the road and 1 off road (Doxey Railway line) for families.

Due the large number of riders (150+ last year) we have staggered the signing on and start times this year to help you

Please take a look at the route options and select one of the following start times.

63m route 8.45 sign on for departures from 9am – Very Hilly

50m route 9am sign on for departures from 915am – Hilly

37m route 9.15am sign on for departures from 930am. – Moderately Hilly

12m Family route 9:45 sign on for 10:00am departure. – Flat

Links to the maps and route profiles are shown below.  Please note that the routes are not signpostedand it it up to each rider to familiarise themselves with the route beforehand, maps and TCX downloads for your bike computers are shown below.  A5 maps will be available on the day but at a small scale.

Entry fee is £5 / rider with a welcome hot drink and cake waiting for riders when they return.  All profits will be given to Katharine House Hospice (£250 in 2015)

On the day riders can sign on and then head off when they are ready in their own groups, or tag along with other groups (8 to 18 riders is the optimum number for safety). But please remember that this event is not a race and all participants must adhere to the Highway Code at all times.

This event is open to all and not just Stafford Road Club members so please come along and join in the fun.  All you need is a bike in good working order, helmet, a strong heart, legs and lungs and a little bit of determination.  Anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult or has a signed parental consent form LINK.
