New Years 2026 Day Time Trial results

TT Season Opener – Event Report

We were treated to a stroke of luck with the weather today, as riders enjoyed a bright, calm morning for the first time trial of the season. Despite the chilly 3.5°C start, the lack of wind made for excellent racing conditions, and 16 riders lined up to test their early‑season form.

It was especially encouraging to see so many younger riders taking part this year, adding great energy to the event. A handful opted for TT bikes, but the majority competed on road bikes—including the overall winner, Ben Allen of Lichfield CC, who set the fastest time of the day with an impressive 11:17.

A huge thank‑you goes to Alastair, Sue, Emma and Paul for organising and running the event, and to Nat and Richard for their work promoting the event and sharing the results.

Looking ahead, Stafford Road Club will be hosting an Open TT on the K48/10 course on Saturday 25th April. We’ll also be running a full series of club TTs throughout the year, with dates to be confirmed and published on the club website soon.
