Stafford Road Club 2015 Championship Winners

Congratulations to all the Stafford RC riders who took part in events this year and the excellent results each of them achieved. The number of participants was better than ever with a few new riders taking part in each discipline and hopefully they all caught the ‘racing bug’ and will be racing again in 2016.

Each year the Stafford RC awards prizes for a number of road race and time trial competitions plus our club personality and this year’s worthy winners are shown below.

Road Race Competitions

Road Race Trophies – Awarded to the most points gained for top 10 places

Charlie Betteley Competition – awarded to riders 40yrs+ for the most points gained in mass start (more than 10 riders) events on track, grass or road.

Club Personality of the Year – voted for by the members for outstanding contribution to club

Women’s Championship – highest points scored from 20 club TT events

Gold – April Lewis

Women’s BAR – fastest average speed for 50, 25 and 10 mile TT’s

Gold – April Lewis

Women’s Short BAR – – fastest average speed for 25, 10, 5 mile TT’s

Gold – April Lewis

Vets Championship – highest points scored from 20 club TT events based on standard times for riders age.

Battle of Britain – Fastest club 50 mile time from events in Aug/Sept

Junior Champion – fastest rider 16 to 18yrs at 5, 10 and 25 miles

Hill Climb Championship – fastest rider in Stafford RC hill climb

Handicap Championship – highest points scored from 20 club TT events based on riders handicap which is calculated form their fastest times over a specific distance over the last 2 seasons.

Club Championship – highest points scored from 20 club TT events based on overall position.
