Swynnerton Camp Circuit Race to be held on the 26/06/14

HQ will be Cotes Heath Village Hall, which many of you will already be familiar with if you’ve done the Swynnerton road races. For those with satnavs the postcode is ST21 6RS.

This will be open from 17.30hrs approx.

There will be one race only, held on a handicap basis – under 50 and 50+.with a 4 minute gap.

The circuit is flat and fast and approx 2.4 miles round on totally closed roads.

Spectators’ vehicles MUST be parked on the parade ground. Under no circumstances should any vehicles be parked anywhere else on the camp. Marshalls will direct you on arrival.

There will be a pre-race briefing at 6.30pm in the village hall. Riders are then asked to meet in the lane leading up to Swynnerton where we’ll follow the lead car to the MOD camp, leaving promptly at 6.45pm.

As this circuit is on Military land, all riders MUST respect the following:

  • If you suffer a mechanical please make your way back to the Start finish area and leave the camp by staying on the approved circuit.  Do not take any short cuts.
  • Do not drop any litter e.g. energy bar/gel wrappers etc
  • Do not urinate on the circuit/grounds. Any rider observed ignoring this request will be immediately disqualified from the race and asked to leave the camp. Furthermore, the rider will automatically be excluded from entering the remaining races in the series.
  • Do not pick anything up as it maybe Military waste which could cause you harm.
  • All spectators must remain in the spectators area.
  • No one under 18 years of age will be allowed on the circuit to spectate.
  • Be aware that Military personnel will be on site and observing this race (they did last time so we’re expecting them again).
  • There will be a marshalled crossing point near the finish area for Military personnel.

There will be refreshments available at the HQ afterwards. This helps towards the costs of putting the race on so please support this.

Prizes for each race are as follows: 1st  £25; 2nd £20; 3rd   £15; 4th  £10; 5th   £5. Results will be placed on the TLI website.

IT IS STILL POSSIBLE, ALTHOUGH UNLIKELY, THAT THE MOD COULD WITHDRAW PERMISSION TO USE THE CAMP. IN THIS UNLIKELY EVENT I WILL EMAIL ALL RIDERS, GIVING AS MUCH NOTICE AS POSSIBLE.
