Guest riders information
— Non Club riders are welcome to come along and join our club rides as a Guest Rider but it is essential that you print off the guest rider form and hand this to the ride leader before you participate in the ride. This is to ensure the Club, ride leader and guest rider are fully covered by the Club’s CTC insurance. Guest riders aged 17 years or under must have the Parental Consent section of the form completed and signed by their parent or legal guardian Guest rider form. 6:45pm Evening Ride, approx 23 miles starting from Rugby Club – Steady Pace. An hour earlier at 5:45pm on Bank Holiday Mondays.
7:00pm K7/25 Time Trial, 25 Miles hosted by Walsall Roads CC. Sign on from 6:30pm on A449 lay-by after Dunston village.
9:15am Tempo group 50—60 miles, 16mph average.
6:30pm Go-Ride Coaching – Tackeroo Campsite, Cannock Chase. Off-road skills coaching at the Tackeroo Campsite on Cannock Chase. Sessions aim to finish at 7:30pm
09:30am Saturday morning club ride. A 30-40 mile route at a steady tempo (approx 13-15mph), meet at Stafford Rugby Club. Ideal for new riders.
10:30am Go-Ride Coaching – Tackeroo Campsite, Cannock Chase. Off-road skills coaching at the Tackeroo Campsite on Cannock Chase. Sessions aim to finish at 11:30am. Please bring clothing suitable to the weather conditions along with food and drink for the rider. The rider must bring a bike in safe and usable condition, a helmet with a CE Mark and we recommend gloves/mitts. Be aware that there are no toilets or changing facilities at Tackeroo. Car parking is available opposite the entrance to the campsite. Cost is £2 for members and £4 for non-members. If there are any questions, please contact Go-Ride@staffordrc.org
2pm Café stop ride, meets on pavement outside the Rugby Club Kingsway 22 miles at a steady pace approx 13mph. Ideal ride for new riders. This group ride does not take place every week mainly subject to the weather.
9:00am Cafe stop group meets at pub at roundabout on Kingsway next to rugby club, steady pace (13/14mph) with stop.
9:00am Endurance/Tempo ride – Leaves Stafford Rugby Club promptly at 9am for a 3hr route around the lanes getting back into Stafford for 12 noon. Ride as group and pace adjusted to ensure no one gets left behind. Ave speed approx 16mph. Ideal ride for anyone wanting to progress their fitness, endurance and speed.
