Congratulations to all the riders who took part in the TLI Cycling National TT Championships on Sunday as they all produced fabulous times on a very demanding 22.2 mile course in North Staffordshire. This was road bikes only and just goes to prove that if you have got the legs you do not need lots of aero equipment to produce incredible times. Riders were lucky to have a dry sunny morning with a gentle breeze that began to build as the event went on.
Fastest rider on the day was Steven Fidler (3C Payment Sport) who finished in a time of 50:53 with an average speed of 26.2mph which is impressive on such a hilly course, shown in photo below. Special mention has to go to Samuel Hall (Velo Runner RT) who at the age of just 16 finished in a time of 55:12.

Thanks to the 20 Stafford Road Club Marshals out on the course keeping the riders on course at each of the 4 turns and back in the HQ keeping everyone fed and watered. Thanks to our time keepers Mike Howard and Chris Jeavons and Mike and the team from www.Bikemarshals.co.uk who provided first aid support out around the course.
This event has helped Stafford Road Club raise £450 which we will be donating to Blood Bikes https://ssbbgroup.org.uk/ which is Stafford Road Club’s chosen charity.
