The Tour of Britian arrives on Cannock Chase with the lead group 8 mins ahead and containing 2 British riders Mark Cavenish & Paul Manning

Here is Frederick Willems of Team Chocolade Jacques who won the days stage which proved to be the fastest of this years Tour with an average speed of 27mph on the 81 mile course.

The Peleton arrived just over 8 mins later

It was 36 degrees in the shade but once above the tree line there is no escaping the heat

The decents were fabulous if not a little scary. It took 2 hours to climb these muntains and 25 minuite of hanging on for dear life as you hurtle down the other side.
